I am a high-achieving, analytical, and creative individual with a strong desire to help others. I enjoy optimising assets and tools for performance in-engine as well as improving my workflow. I am a problem-solver whose quick learning and determination will make me an asset to any team.
I chose to pursue technical art because I enjoy bridging the gap between art and programming. Purposefully developing both disciplines over the last few years has been a fun and rewarding challenge, one that I will gladly continue for years to come.
I have 9 GCSEs all at grade 9 including maths and english
I achieved 3 A*s at A Level in Maths, Physics and Fine Art, along with an A in Further Maths
I achieved 95% for my most recent university module, GAME3001 Professional Brief (Technical Art)
Development blog - Houdini Pipe Spline Tool
Through this project I taught myself how to use Houdini for simple procedural creation, which is something I am now building on in my sci-fi corridor builder project.
I also learned the basics of VEX and a significant amount about general graphics programming. All shapes are just numbers and that is really cool to me.
I also got to practise creating clear documentation for this project which you can read here.
Development blog - UE5 Character Customiser System
This project was created entirely in UE5 blueprints which was a great way to develop my skills working in-engine.
I used a prefab kit to develop the tool but it's designed to be project agnostic and work with any modular character. I even detailed all the ways developers could add to the modules or create their own characters for the system in my documentation.
I am a qualified archery coach and enjoy both coaching and shooting in my free time. I have also won a couple of tournaments.
I built an electric guitar in my garage. Then I thought about all the ways I could improve it so I built a second electric guitar in my garage.
I love martial arts, swimming and lifting weights
